Can We Really Manifest?

May 5th, 2008

Is Manifesting real? I have often pondered this question and I have to say that there are many things that I believe, are left out when the subject of manifestation gets presented. Is it because of this that I think people feel so frustrated, and why The Secret came under such criticism. I have a different spin on this.

Manifestation is real, when they say “ask and you shall receive,” it is the truth. So where does the problem lie? If that is all you have to do then why is it I keep asking and do not receive? The reason is, the dimension that is left out, the entire basis for manifestation, is the source that manifestation comes from. Without understanding this or knowing this, you are left to ask, without understanding the largest piece of the equation. It is the ability to know and understand who you are, not in the physical form or ego related form, but the true essence of who you are, who we all are..  some people take this statement literally and will answer with things like, their name, their occupation, what characteristics they believe that they possess as a person. This is not who you really are. You are not who your mind can regurgitate you are with words. You are not what other people tell you you are. You are presence, you are spirit, you are not a separate entity from God, you are and were created in that essence. When you know this, and you take yourself away from your ego and physical form and deeply go inside yourself, there is light. You are that light, that is why it is so important to understand this, because if you do not, then you are attempting to manifest on the level of the ego, and ego loves to fill you with doubt, and ego loves to be able to use your mind as a tool against you. It is only in the separation of that that you can truly begin to know and ultimately manifest.

It’s is somewhat like putting the cart before the horse so to speak.  I do not agree that The Secret was irresponsible, I feel for some people it is a necessary step in understanding any of it, it expands the mind at a very basic level, to the possibility of manifestation, and opens up a portal for people who maybe did not even have any idea that they can attract at all. The part in which it becomes frustrating is that at that moment when they begin to ask of the universe, if they are not aware enough to be able to separate themselves from their mind, the ego will run counter intuitive thoughts through your mind, that will actually act a block or resister to manifesting what you desire.

I believe that the reason that this is left out is because for some people they may be put off from it all together if we start speaking of God, or Spirit. They may not be open to this and shut it off. So I do believe that is why it is not mentioned. This is why I am writing this. I was one of those frustrated people, and only in the unrelenting process of uncovering this did I come to the truth.

So, as it may put people off, as it may sound too metaphysical in nature for some to wrap their head around, it is the truth, and the light.Perhaps for those skeptics one might say, What do you have to lose if you at the very least remain open to this possibility? You may find a peace and joy unlike anything you have ever experienced, you may find yourself living a little more outside of your ego, which only likes to identify itself, and is insatiable in nature. You may find yourself no longer able to worry about what people think of you, because you know. You may find that you feel more love and less judgemental of others because you understand now that we are all connected. You may find yourself being able to change things in your life in what seems like an instant. You may find yourself accepting things as they are, which leads to more peace. You may find yourself not identifying with pain from the past. You may find yourself not struggling so hard to be grateful for things even when you’re ego is always wanting you to feel lack. These are things I know for sure. But, it’s up to you, only you can open your mind to the possibility that what I speak of  might have some merit. The one thing I do know, is that being open to the possibility, opens you up to more peace and joy in life. The way it was meant to be lived and seen.

In The Stillness

April 30th, 2008

It is in the stillness that the answers lie

Below the clamor that rests upon the surface

The quiet depth of serenity, of completeness,

of all that there is

It is in that yearning that we are able to find the place

When we can quiet ourselves long enough, to know that this is where

we were destined to be, and who we really are

It is there, it is now

It is being certain of what is unseen

and the knowing that we must relinquish ourselves

enough to be led down the path.

What is Spiritual Awakening?

April 24th, 2008

In order to be spiritually awakened, the first step is understanding the way in which we operate in physical form. For years I had little understanding of the true nature of who we are. I only knew to identify myself through external things, my job, my possessions, my social status in the community and to a greater extent, my own thoughts. To understand that we operate out of ego, and what ego really is, you need to try to watch and observe the world from outside of your mind. How do you do that you ask? First and foremost you must begin to watch your reactions and become at it’s very basic level, aware of your thoughts. We think constantly. What are your thoughts telling you? How do you react for example when someone says something to you that makes you feel badly? Why did it make you feel badly? Is it because your ego identified with the statement that the other person made? Did you react to that statement automatically out of defense of yourself? Why did you do that? It is about trying to operate on a more conscious level, as opposed to operating unconsciously.

You react in the manner that you do, out of ego, out of a lack of truly understanding the spiritual nature of who you really are. We allow ourselves to be identified by other people and circumstances, by certain standards of measurement that society places a value on. In that identification and accumulation, we lose who we really are and become what other people have told us we are or what certain external circumstances have dictated.  Now let’s take that a step further.. For some people who begin the  practice of observing their ego , you begin to create the ability of becoming awakened. When you begin to practice this more and more, you are given the ability to see when your ego is reacting. You are then able to respond from a different perspective. Try it just to see if you can become “aware” of when your ego is engaged. You can do it with any situation, any person. Be still and quiet for a moment, instead of automatically reactive.

This is the first step in becoming aware of how your ego operates. This is the first step in spiritual awakening.Watch it and you will be amazed. You will begin the process of separation from your mind, your ego, and external things that happen that you identify yourself by. Try as much as you can to be aware, and behave as if you were an observer of yourself. See the things that make you engage and trigger your ego to react. Write them down at first so you can go back and recount the situation. What did you observe about yourself?

I ask you to commit yourself to this practice for thirty days. If possible keep a journal of your observations. Learn to become uncomfortable with your ego. I ask you to do this in an attempt to help you realize your true nature, and to assist you in the process of spiritual awakening. It is the difference between acting in an unconscious manner, and becoming more conscious. It is about understanding that we are much more than our physical form. It is about teaching yourself the process of connecting to our true spirit. I dare you to try this, and I can tell you that you are much more than you think are.
